I was given this recent correspondence with a suggestion that I post it here.
But first I want to introduce Deena Bandu:

Deena Bandu's a special soul. He has resided mainly in Vrindavana for a long time. By far, his favorite activity, is taking devotees on parikram to the different special places he knows so well. Devotees from all over the world know and appreciate him.They love hearing from him, because he completely absorbes himself and us in their sweetness.
He has chosen this intensly hot month to spend in Nandagram at Vrinda Kund!! This month is called Purushottam and it comes every four years. It is greatly auspicious for performing added devotional activities because their effects are magnified many times.
He is one of the main devotees involved in developing Vrinda Kund to it's present beauty.

This is a letter of reply from Deena Bandu Prabhu.It seems he has taken a vow to spend the month of Purushottam at Vrinda Kund in Nandagram. I think you will agree that it sounds very sweet there.
Bhurijana Prabhu writes:
" Hare Krsna Deena Bandu, thank you. Nice to hear that you at Vrinda Kind during Pusushottama adhik mas, but I know it must be terribly austere as well. May Vrinda devi give you strength."
Deena Bandu replies:
"Actually it is very nice here. Every morning the Kokila wakes me up with its sweet song. And all day long two of them, madly in love, flit from tree to tree with their sweet warbling. Jasmine and Mogra are in bloom and our mali (gardener) makes garlands with them for Vrinda and Giriraj.
Two days ago one Kadamba started blooming that has reddish flowers and today the golden flowered Kadamba gave flowers, along with the newest Kadamba near my bhajan kutir.
In the evenings and mornings the peacocks are crying. The iridescent blue kingfisher is diving in the kunda, while two iridescent green English Flycatchers do their acrobatics over the kunda.
In the morning artika at 8am, beautiful reflections play on the carved stone, sometimes it looks like it's breathing. The temple bell peals across the arid fields from the emerald that is Vrinda Kunda.
In the evening the Jal Murgi (water chickens) sing with us in Gaura artika."
Bhurijana Prabhu makes a request:
" Kindly offer a prayer for poor Bhurijana dasa in Perth, so very far fromVraja dham."
Deena Bandu replies:

To see the real beauty of Vrinda devi's arrangements to beautify Vrindavana, one must have different eyes and a different heart than the ones we use to view the everyday things of the world.This reformation of our feeling thinking and understanding can be achieved only by chanting Krishna's Names. The reality is that everything belongs to Him - what to speak of His personal abode of Vrindavana.
Vrinda devi's serving there by creating exquisitely beautiful arrangements.
